How we are paid

Charges applicable from January 2012

The initial meeting is free of charge - this cost is met by Red Planet Financial Solutions.

Should you decide to engage our services, our current minimum report fee is £650.  This fee is required in advance of any work being undertaken and covers all our research and reporting costs.

If we give you advice which results in an investment being made then there is an investment set-up fee (transactional costs for new business implementation), on a sliding scale as follows and subject to a minimum payment of £850:

£500,000 +            1.00% )

Currently most product providers will pay this fee on your behalf by way of a 'commission' thus reducing the amount of your initial investment, or you can pay the fee by cheque directly to us.  Either way, the cost is met by you.

Our ongoing service charge for reviewing your investment, reporting and making recommendations is typically between 0.50% and 1.50% each year of the value of your investment.  The product provider will make this payment directly from your fund value.

We charge a separate fee to review and report on existing occupational pension schemes and this is currently £650 for the first scheme, £350 each for subsequent schemes.

All our charges will be notified to you in writing.  Our charges are due to be reviewed on 1st January 2013.
